Broomhouse & Sighthill Adult Walking Group launched their local walking map on Friday 4 September 2015.
The map highlights six local walking routes (via map and text) all the routes have something of interest.
 These walks may include views of some of the following;
The Pentland Hills, Edinburgh Castle, canal, trains and trams,  native trees and flowers, wildlife , cityscapes, pretty gardens, Doocot, Historical houses, Fife Hills and access to useful places with useful local services.
Copies are available free of charge from The Broomhouse & Sighthill Community Health Hub ( at BHSG Fruit and Veg Co-op and The Broomhouse Centre).
The walks are approximately one hour long – we walk for half an hour outward and half hour back.
Our walkers say they are looking around and chatting so much they never notice they’ve been out for an hour. Come and join the group, men and women welcome. We usually have a free cuppa afterwards.
The  BHSG shop is our regular meeting place for our Broomhouse & Sighthill Community Health Hub Adult Walking Group which is  usually known as ‘The Friday walking Group’.

Anyone who is interested in walking with the group or finding out more about becoming a Walk Leader can  find out more with them and access  ‘Paths for All’ short training courses which are free of charge.

They would love to have some more Walk Leaders to set up more new groups.

They also have Buggy Walking Group which starts up again soon, meeting at Whinpark Medical Centre 1.00pm on Thursday 17 September for four weeks. Adult Parents or Carers with pre-school children in buggy, pram, sling are welcome. It is free of charge.
New and regular walkers welcome to join them – wear comfy outdoor shoes as they occasionally are in the parks on the grass/although there is always a pathway alternative for wet weather and mobility vehicles.
Next Adult walk at 10am 18th of September 2015. (No walk on 11th Sept 2015)
