It was tea and cakes galore at the WHALE Arts Centre on Friday morning, as Artists Unlimited held their Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Janet, Isabel and Nancy from Artists Unlimited, a weekly arts group which meets at the WHALE Arts Centre on Wednesdays, decided to get together and start baking to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Around 30 people came along to join in the fun, donate some money and eat some delicious cakes. After a first counting the group look to have made over £200!
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. They ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year they managed to raise £25 million.
