My eyes brim with
Wee drops of tears
You see them as sadness
For me desire to leave
Searching for that inner strength
To detach
To leave all that I considered mine
The wind changed eons ago
I hung on for dear life
When life was not in it
Life was me
All the time.
I crushed hopes, dreams and desires
Invalidated my boundaries
To seek acceptance
From outside
To validate the cultural norms
Above nature’s wonderful being
Poverty binds
When abundance abounds
In every smile
In the physical dimension
I hoped for strength
When the mind gallantly died
I want to let the invisible now guide
The strength in the universe is so much stronger
Than you and me
I want to be
Just be
Myself
