There was a collection of spooky figures, a few princesses and even a superhero or two picking up litter around Clovenstone today as Clovenstone Community Centre’s after school club teamed up with Prospect and the Wester Hailes Community Council to clear up their neighbourhood!
The kids, who had taken part in a dress down day at primary school and were still in their Halloween costumes covered the area, filling around 20 black bin bags with litter.
The litter pick is the first in a series organised after the Community Open Space follow-up event, with the current plan being that each litter pick will focus on a different area of Wester Hailes.
