Many thanks to Ally from Grass Roots Remedies for the invite to come along to Scottish Radical Herbal Network Ceilidh on Friday 29 January 2016 in Old St Pauls in Jeffrey Street. This was the first fundraiser of the group who are made up of herbalists and health activists trying to make people aware and create a healthcare system based on fairness and collaboration and herbal medicine in the community and using environmental methods and local involvement to provide a fair and just alternative health option.
They are planning to host a herbal gathering later this year in September, but there will be other events before this details of which are in the photos below.

Grass Roots Remedies run a clinic every Wednesday from 9.00am to 8.00pm at the Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre. Appointments are available for people to have an individual consultation, after which they are prescribed a personalised herbal remedy to support their health.
The clinic operates on a sliding scale basis so that local people and service users in the HLC pay a donation, with higher rates for staff of local organisations.
