Grant a Grand results announced

South West Neighbourhood Office Grant a Grand

The results for the South West Neighbourhood Partnership’s Grant a Grand project has been announced with ten projects, including a Parkour at the Plaza project from Wester Hailes Health Agency, receiving money.

Over autumn 2015 and early 2016 young people in South West Edinburgh were given the opportunity to suggest projects and then vote on the ones they wanted to see go ahead.

Young people in South West Edinburgh were able to vote at Fountainbridge, Balgreen, Sighthill (Gate55) or Wester Hailes Libraries when checking out a book, at community centres when attending a youth club, online and at the beginning  of the results event in February.

Voting started on Monday 1st February and ran in libraries until Wednesday 24th with over 600 votes being cast. The results were announced at a community event on Friday 26th February at Carrickvale Community Centre. The event included stalls from local community groups, live music, sports tasters and refreshments.
