Dads Rock play session helps with Edinburgh School Closures

The WHALE Arts Centre was rocking this morning when Dads Rock held a special free play session to help families impacted by the Edinburgh School closures.

The session was organised by Dads Rock and supported by Edinburgh Playbox, SCOREscotland and WHALE Arts Agency. Planning for the session began after David Marshall and Thomas Lynch, the co-founders of Dads Rock, decided they would like to lend a hand to parents who have been caught out and forced to make alternate arrangements after the schools were closed. They targeted the session to pupils of nearby schools which had been forced to close including Broomhouse and St Josephs Primary School, but welcomed any pupils who have been affected.

There was a lot of fun with music, baking, outdoor play and some creative arts and crafts.
