The Wester Hailes Community Council is happy to announce that their application to the Road & Footways Neighbourhood Environmental Projects fund has been successful and that a troublesome bus stop will be made more accessible to families and people with mobility problems.
The Road & Footways Neighbourhood Environmental Projects fund is open to community organisations who can make a bid in order to make changes to roads and footways to make then easier and safer to use.
The successful application will mean that the bus stop which currently is accessed by steps which join on to the path between Hailesland and Murrayburn, will now have a ramp added. The Community Council hopes that this will make the bus stop more accessible to people with mobility issues or families who may have small children in buggies.
