Street Arts Family Festival: Summer fun at the WHALE

IMG_0920

The WHALE Arts Centre was rocking yesterday as local families got together for a fun filled afternoon at the Street Arts Family Festival.

The Festival which comes at the end of the WHALE Arts summer programme is a great opportunity for the kids who regularly take part in Street Arts to come along to the WHALE building and all meet up together.

The event was joined by Edinburgh Playbox and staff from the Festival and Kings Theatres, who have been supporting the group in its current block of sessions.

There was a lot of fun with face painting, outdoor play and everyone joining in with some screen printing and adding patterns and designs to bags.

Street Arts runs on Thursdays from 5.30pm when the Street Arts team out on the streets. Art, music, drama, dance, photography and more. Like the ‘Street Arts WHALE’ Facebook page to keep up to date with everything they do!
