Local textile group Stitch ‘n’ Time have been busy working on a set of cushions for Heathervale, the new young people’s centre which was recently built in Wester Hailes.

The group have spent the last couple of months creating a selection of cushion covers to make the centre feel a bit more homely when it opens this week. They were happy to meet with Edinburgh Council employee Lesley McMillan to hand over the finished work!

Heathervale which opens this week will welcome children from across the city, who are unable to stay at home.

Stitch ‘n’ Time would like to thank the Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh for funding through the OneCity Trust’s Rapid Action Fund.

The group meets every Tuesday at the WHALE Arts centre from 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
