Wester Hailes library will be holding a medal ceremony to congratulate all the children who completed this years Summer Reading Challenge.
The ceremony will be held this Friday, 2 September 2016 2.00pm. Head along and join in the celebrations, have a chance to win some special prizes and even meet the library’s mysterious new mascot!
The Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. It aims to get children to read any six books of their choice from their library during holidays. Every year there’s a different theme; this year it’s The Big Friendly Read as the challenge decided to link up with the global year-long Roald Dahl 100 celebrations.
