Clovenstone Primary Parent Council meeting

Clovenstone Primary School sign door

Clovenstone Primary school would like to announce the next meeting of their Parent Council will take  place on Wednesday 14 September 2016, 5.00pm.

The meeting is open to all parents and relatives of pupils at the school.

We hope to see lots of you there to discuss ways in which we can make our school better!

The school is keen to hear from parents and members of the community about how they think the school can improve. They have recently started releasing 60 second updates on their Facebook page letting parents know what each class has been doing during the week. Here is their latest update:

P1A – Heard the story of Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson then made their own paper dolls with their P7 buddies.

P1B – In maths we have been comparing sets of objects and talking about them using the words more, less and equal.

P2 – Have started learning the meaning of new words with Word Boost.

P2/3 – Enjoyed the author visit and are going to write our own imaginative stories.

P3 – Are enjoying reading our class novel ‘The Twits’ which we started this week.

P4 – Enjoyed a gardening project around the school.

P5 – Worked hard on their handwriting skills.

P6 – Enjoyed their time in the library.

P6/7 – Had an outing to Edinburgh University to experience a mock trial!

P7 – Have been developing their keyboard skills by creating fantastic imaginative writing.
