UPDATE 

Police Scotland are happy to confirm that Connie Sinclair, has been traced safe and well in the Drylaw area around 1pm today, Thursday 29 September 2016.

They would like to thank everyone who shared and got in touch.


Police  Scotland are appealing for witnesses to trace a woman reported missing in the West of the City.

Constance Sinclair, who is known as Connie, was last seen at her home address in Oxgangs Farm Terrace on Tuesday 27 September 2016.

The 53-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family since this time and concern is now growing for her welfare.

Anyone who knows Connie’s current whereabouts is asked to call police on 101.

She is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall with shoulder length grey hair tied back in a ponytail.

Connie was last seen wearing light-coloured trousers and a red and navy Diadora anorak.

Inspector Neil Whiteside from Wester Hailes Police Station said:

Since Tuesday there have been no reported sightings of Connie and she has yet to make contact with any loved ones or friends and as such we are keen to locate her as soon as possible to ensure she is alright.

I would ask that anyone who believes they have seen her since the 27th September or knows where we can find her, to contact police immediately.

I also appeal to Connie directly to get in touch so we can confirm she is safe.
