Heathervale Young Peoples’ Centre, a newly opened residential care home for children aged 11 – 18 in Dumbryden, has reached the finals in the Intelligent Design Category of the Society of British and International Design (SBID).
Heathervale would like to thank all the local textile groups including Knit & Knatter from Wester Hailes library and Stitch ‘n’ Time from WHALE Arts for creating a fantastic collection of pillow cases, quilts and other furnishings to make the building feel more homely.
The storyboards sent to the SBID judging panel can be seen below. However, 30% of the marks are down to the public vote. You can find out more details of Heathervale, the competition and an option to vote here.
