Festive Opening Hours
Wester Hailes Medical Practice and Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre will be closed on Monday the 26th and Tuesday the 27th of December for Christmas, and Monday the 2nd and Tuesday the 3rd of January for New Year. Otherwise, they are open weekdays from 8AM – 6PM as normal.

We can all do our bit to look after our own and our family’s health, over the winter. Here are a few things you can do to help avoid unnecessary trips up to the surgery over the festive period, and help preserve front line services for those who need them most.
- Know when your GP surgery and local pharmacy are open over the holidays
- Contact the surgery now if you have not had your flu jab yet, but are over 65 or have a long term medical condition.
- Don’t run out of repeat prescriptions – order only what you need in plenty of time.
- Check you have cold and flu remedies at home to take if necessary.
The best way not to be caught out by winter weather is to plan appropriately. We want everyone in Wester Hailes to have a great time this festive season and that means taking some simple steps to to help you and your family stay well.
