Dads Rock runs have announced that they are seeking volunteers to help with their weekly playgroups for all dads/granddads and their kids aged 0-5 years old across Edinburgh.
Objective of the role
We are looking for volunteers to help run the playgroups and have fun with Dads/Granddads and children attending.
Activities:
The volunteers will help facilitate the groups alongside Dads Rock staff:
– Spend time getting to know families
– Help set up the group
– Help prepare snacks
– With additional training, possibility for volunteers to deliver story/song time

We are looking for volunteers from various backgrounds. This opportunity is open to both men and women.
Skills & qualities required
You don’t need to have any specific skills or experience.
If you can play musical instruments, you are more than welcome to bring them along to the groups.
The following qualities would be appreciated:
– Good communication/interpersonal skills
– Reliable and able to use initiative
– Enthusiast to engage in playgroup activities

Location
Playgroups are taking place in 4 locations across Edinburgh: City Centre (EH1 2HU), Craigmillar (EH16 4NX), Granton (EH5 1HG) and Wester Hailes (EH14 2SA).
Availability & commitment required
A commitment of 3 hours per week over the weekend: playgroups run on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Volunteers do not need to attend each week.
