Wester Hailes Youth Agency will run a new Vlogging group for young people after receiving an award from Wester Hailes Community Trust.
The Youth Agency plan to use the award of £1816 to run a new group led by young people which will create vlogs to raise awareness of services in the area to the community and reach other young people by using social media.
The Youth Agency hopes that the group will help young people improve their confidence, learn new I.T skills, especially video making and that it will help bring the community together by raising awareness of services in the area.
One of the young people taking part in the project said:
I am really looking forward to trying something new and learning all about filming
Yaz from the Youth Agency added:
We are really grateful for the donation from the Community Trust towards our VLOG project. Young people are really keen for us to run a VLOG project for them and it will enable them to learn new skills, feel part of the community and increase their confidence.
