Dads Rock would like to promote their Young Dads (aged 25 or under) mentoring project, where they work with young dads in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Our offering is to mentor young dads on a 1:1 basis, meeting with them on a fortnightly basis, to help them build their resilience and confidence to be the best Dad they can be. We help them to achieve realistic goals, and can support them with a range of ‘dad’ activities and skills.
We have helped support young dads to maintain and improve their relationships with their children, to engage positively with social workers, offered counselling and when appropriate we sign post to other services.
In 2016 they worked with six young dads from across Edinburgh.
