The Power of Food festival at WHALE Arts

WHALE Arts’ Westburn Can project would like to invite local people to the WHALE  on Saturday 17 June 12.00pm – 3.00pm to celebrate the Power of Food Festival.

Explore the Westburn CAN community garden. Find out about exciting eco arts, gardening, and cooking projects taking place at the centre. Let us know what food growing, gardening, art and community projects you would like to see in the area.

It looks to be a fun filled afternoon with events for all the family including:

Storytelling by Lyndsey Wright – Fun stories for babies and older children hear about Mr Wiggle and Mr Waggle, The Star Apple, The Blueberry Girl and the Frying Pan!

Eco Arts Planters – Create a unique eco art planter from recycled materials and plant up with delicious fruits and flowers.

Face Painting

Sculpture Trail – Meet the artists who have been creating unusual work in the garden, follow the trail to see what you can find.
