Murrayburn and Hailesland Community Fete a success

Despite some rainy weather on Saturday, the Murrayburn and Hailesland Community Fete still went ahead and it turned out to be a great success!

The Murrayburn and Hailesland Community Park Association (MHCPA) all worked so hard leading up to the event, and on the day, so it was heartwarming to see so many residents coming out to brave the rain to get involved.

Special thanks to Score Scotland, Expecting Something and Dads Rock who had great stalls and to Steve from NBC Environment who brought a beautiful Barn Owl along called Flo. We also had a fabulous Baking Stall, A Reflexology Tent, Face Painting and of course a BBQ! And With Kids, put on some really fun play activities.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended the event to chat to residents about fire safety, and of course give the kids got a chance to sit in the fire engine! They were a brilliant addition to the afternoon.

The Fete was also an opportunity for people to find out about proposals for a planned Community Park, in The Greenway, which residents reacted very positively too.

We will be having a follow up meeting regarding this at The With Kids Building on Wednesday 9th August between 5pm and 7pm. Refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome!

Thanks, Stacey
