Vintage Vibes Service Coordinator (maternity cover)
Vintage Vibes is a fresh new service tackling isolation and loneliness among over-60s, whom we call our VIPs, in Edinburgh. We’re reaching out across the city, offering companionship, reliable support and the chance to be more socially connected. It is a partnership between the Broomhouse Centre & Enterprises, and LifeCare Edinburgh. Our vision is that everyone over 60 in Edinburgh lives a fulfilled life with friendship, respect and participation. Since the service was launched in Oct 2015, we have recruited 120 volunteers and matched 120 VIPS with a companion.
The Service Co-ordinator at Broomhouse Centre will work in tandem with the Service Co-ordinator at LifeCare, as well as other officers and volunteers to deliver a quality and personalised service. You will co-ordinate and supervise the provision of the Service through the recruitment, management and training of volunteers. This position is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
