Holy Trinity Church Foodbank Update

The Holy Trinity Church has released an update on the Foodbank ran from the Bridge Community Cafe, giving information on its current status, when its open and how you could help.

With our Foodbank becoming more popular and necessary, we wanted to update you on our service. We currently see between 130 – 180 people a month, giving parcels to individuals, couples and familes and no referral is required although we do keep tight records of who is receiving food to avoid food dependency.

Those requiring a food parcel can come to the Bridge Community Cafe (Side door entrance) at foodbank times. The cafe is open at this time only for the Foodbank and we welcome people with sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee. Many people arrive stressed because of their circumstances and our trained volunteers are able to spend time chatting with them.

The Foodbank is open every Tuesday 2.00pm –  3.00pm. The Foodbank is funded by donations of food and money from the Holy Trinity Church’s congregation as well as other churches, individuals and small trusts. Please feel free to send anyone you deem to be in need of a food parcel.
