TV Presenter Chris Jarvis with WHALE Arts Director Allan Farmer, promoting the event
Show Me Show Me presenter Chris Jarvis paid a visit to local schools and the WHALE Arts Centre yesterday to help promote the upcoming Scottish Chamber Orchestra Family Day.
The fun, free family music session with musicians and artists will take place at WHALE Arts on Saturday 21 October 2017, 10.00am – 3.00pm. Try out new instruments, arts and crafts and enjoy performances from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra based on Julia Donaldson’s ‘The Snail and The WHALE’.
The free event is for ages 4-9 and their parents/carers and is part of SCO’s three year residency in Wester Hailes where they have been working with local schools and organisations to encourage local people to engage with music and the arts in Wester Hailes and beyond.
To promote the event the SCO and Show Me Show Me presenter Chris Jarvis have been visiting local schools and community areas to speak with pupils and encourage them to come along try out some musical instruments and have fun with musicians and artists.
