WHALE Community Cinema announce Orphans and Pouters

WHALE Community Cinema will be showing black comedy Orphans (1998) and short film Pouters (2012) on Friday 3 November at 6.00pm  at the WHALE Arts Centre.

Entry to the screening is free and donations are welcome. All funds raised will go towards future WHALE Community Cinema screenings.

This screening is the third in an exciting season of ‘Scottish Comedy & Shorts’ screenings taking place at WHALE Arts.

Orphans, written and directed by Peter Mullan, follows the story of four siblings who gather together in Glasgow on the eve of their mother’s funeral. Through their mourning, the three egocentric brothers create chaos for themselves as they all explore the limits of sin and forgiveness. Pouters, directed by Paul Fegan, is a modern day story of undying commitment, rivalry, family and friendship interwoven by an underground and idiosyncratic Scottish sport.

Orphans is rated 18.
