I attended a VIP Invite to the pre-opening night of the revamped Odeon Luxe in Wester Hailes for a satellite screening of the World Premier of Murder on The Orient Express. Many thanks to the Broomhouse Centre for this invite.
I have to say Odeon Cinema pushed the boat out last night. Red carpet treatment at the entrance, met and greeted and given a tour of the totally refurbished cinema, 8 screens 800 fully reclinable seats. The new Isense 4k screen with amazing full sensory sound.
The choice of foods have massively improved from hot dogs to a superb variety of Nachos, Pizza, potato fritters and dips, garlic breads. Even popcorn now has a new lease of life.
At the Oscars bar you can order freshly made pizza which can all be taken through to your reclining chair and table.
It was certainly a very different Odeon last night from the one I took my children and grandchildren to.
The manager Isla and her staff certainly pulled all the stops out last night to make this world premier showing a success.
This is a great investment for the people of Wester Hailes which reflects a commitment to this community one that hopefully will reward and encourage more investment in Wester Hailes.
