Join WHALE Community Cinema for Gregory’s Girl and Silent Laughs

There is still time to join WHALE Community Cinema for their screening of coming-of-age comedy Gregory’s Girl and short film Silent Laughs at the WHALE Arts Centre this week, Wednesday 6 December at 6.00pm.

Entry to the screening is free though donations are welcome. All funds raised will go towards future WHALE Community Cinema screenings.

This screening is the fourth in an exciting season of ‘Scottish Comedy & Shorts’ screenings taking place at WHALE Arts. Gregory’s Girl, written and directed by Bill Forsyth, is the story of awkward teenager Gregory, who falls for Dorothy when she joins his school football team. Silent Laughs, directed by Natalia Kouneli, follows a deaf stand-up comedienne who performs in sign language, fulfilling her dream to make people laugh as well as bringing Deaf Culture to mainstream audiences.

Gregory’s Girl is rated 12A.
