Edible Estates have announced that they are currently looking to recruit a Natural Play/Community Greenspace Worker.
The post has a salary £24,413 pro rata and is either full time working 35 hours, or split between 2 part/time roles. Starting 1st April or 1st May 2018.
To organise and deliver workshops and activities for children and young people in and around a community garden and park in an Edinburgh council estate which will develop their interest in nature and raise their awareness of climate change issues.
To bring play to the heart of the community, encouraging, supporting and motivating children and young people to participate in free play activities and enjoy the outdoors. To provide an inclusive service so that children will have fun, stay safe, be inspired, make friends, learn, contribute to and provide them with life skills socially and individually.
To work with children and young adults to investigate how local greenspace and be best used to support and increase outdoor physical activity and play. To support children and young adults to represent their findings to local stakeholders.
