WHALE Family screening this half-term

The WHALE Community Cinema would like to invite everyone to a free Half-term Family Screening of Ernest and Celestine at the WHALE Arts Centre this Thursday, 15 February 2018, 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Deep below snowy, cobblestone streets, tucked away in networks of winding subterranean tunnels, lives a civilization of hardworking mice, terrified of the bears who live above ground. Unlike her fellow mice, Celestine is an artist and a dreamer – and when she nearly ends up as breakfast for ursine troubadour Ernest, the two form an unlikely bond. But it isn’t long before their friendship is put on trial by their respective bear-fearing and mice-eating communities.

The film is suitable for all ages and local project Tasting Change will be on hand to offer free healthy snacks. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Cinema would like to ask people to sign up for free tickets as the screening may be popular at WHALE Arts reception, by calling 0131 458 3267 or register on their Eventbrite here. The screening is supported by Scottish Film Education.
