The City of Edinburgh Council has released a short video update on their current Small Sites Programme which includes construction on several sites in Wester Hailes.
The video available to watch below or on their Youtube page, contains a quick update on the construction of 37 homes at Fernieflat Neuk in the Calders, and details the community consultation work carried out by the Council during the process, including an interview with Beren Mcloughlin the Chair of Wester Hailes Community Council.
The Small sites programmes covers three areas of Wester Hailes with 37 homes being built in the Calders at Fernieflat Neuk, 32 homes in Hailesland on the former Huts site and 49 homes being built in Dumbryden, on the site of the former primary school. The Council hopes to expand the construction in Dumbryden and is in the process of consulting with the community on plans to build an additional 49 homes on the site.
