To celebrate National PlayDay local organisations have come together to put on family fun days throughout the summer and promote play for all.
Join us every Saturday in July for our Summer Playdays across the Wester Hailes community before the return of the epic National PlayDay at Clovenstone Community Centre.
Play activities at these local events will range from loose parts, water play, music, bushcraft, messy art and tasty food.

Sat 7, 1pm – 4pm
At Westburn Woods
Party Time in the woods with New Caledonian Woodlands and friends, including nature play, campfire cooking, buschcraft, zip line, shelter building and much much more.
Sat 14, 1pm – 3pm
Picnic and Play
At WHALE Arts
Join us for a family picnic, games, songs, rhymes and imaginary play with Lickety Spit theatre company.
Sat 21, 1pm – 4pm
Murrayburn and Hailesland PlayDay
In the Greenway, outside Michael’s Shop
A summer fair brought to you by Murrayburn and Hailesland Community Park Association with natural play, pop up play spaces from City of Play and the pop-up Garden Kitchen.
Sat 28, 12pm – 4pm
Outside Calders Community Flat
A firm favourite with locals – join the Calders Residents association for bouncy castles, guerrilla gardening, mural art, sensory baby zone, the pop-up Garden Kitchen, and stalls a plenty.
Wed 1, 1pm – 4pm
At Clovenstone Community Centre
PlayDay returns with loose parts play, water play, tasty food, messy baby paint zone, street arts, storytelling, drumming and more!
