Barbecue fun to celebrate Health Agency’s Twentieth Anniversary

The Health Agency held their twentieth anniversary celebration today, inviting local people and organisations to join them for a healthy vegetarian barbecue.

There was plenty of food available with the Health Agency and Tasting Change working together to make a selection of vegetarian treats such as Moroccan Couscous, Peach and feta salad, Halloumi and Veg skewers and of course  vegetarian sausages and burgers.

After having lunch people were invited to cycle up a smoothie on a smoothie bike or enjoy a herbal tea and find out more about the CommuniTea project, a herbal growing and foraging project that lets local people pick their own ingredients and brew their own medicinal teas.

The Health Agency seeks to enable local people to take action that makes a positive impact on their own and their community’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. It has been benefiting the lives of local residents since it was established in its current form twenty years ago, having been based in the Healthy Living Centre since 2013.
