Prospect Making A Stand Against Domestic Abuse

Prospect Community Housing has pledged to Make a Stand against domestic abuse joining a campaign launched in partnership between housing organisations and Women’s Aid.

The Make a Stand campaign centres around a pledge which has been developed by the Chartered Institute of Housing in partnership with Women’s Aid and the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA).

Millions of people experience domestic abuse every year and two women are killed by their partner or ex-partner every week. Housing organisations house and employ millions of people across the UK, and that means we house and employ many thousands of people affected by domestic abuse. We know that this issue affects our tenants here in Wester Hailes, both female and male.

This pledge means Prospect is committed to

  • Supporting tenants who are affected by domestic abuse
  • Providing information on their website and in their office about domestic abuse support services
  • Supporting their staff who may be experiencing domestic abuse

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, get in touch with anyone from the Housing Management team and they will listen in confidence.

You can contact Prospect on 0131 458 5480 or via their website.
