The City of Edinburgh Council are looking to recruit a ICT Technician based at Wester Hailes Education Centre.
This role is primarily term time but there will be some flexibility for the successful candidate to change working weeks if required. The salary is
£20,159 – £24,029 (pro rata 39 weeks sessional).
At Wester Hailes Education Centre we place learning at the centre of all that we do, believing that in the right environment everyone can learn and grow. We are seeking to appoint an ICT Technician to provide a proactive and reactive support service to the school staff and pupils.
Responsibilities for the post include:
• Providing advice and guidance in the operation, use and application of all relevant IT equipment and software, and assisting and advising teaching staff in the planning and use of IT resources,
• Ensuring the school’s desktops, laptops, printers and telephony are maintained and supported through effective use of delegated administration rights and by liaising with the authority’s managed service providers
• Ensuring that AV equipment is maintained and used effectively in the school.
This is a key role in the school and the post holder must be able to work independently, prioritise workloads and use own initiative to progress work and resolve issues.
