Two exhibitions, 40X40 and Incredible Distance, created by local people are on display at the Fruitmarket Gallery until Sunday 17 February 2019 as part of Creative Connections.
40X40 is an exhibition of installations inspire by perceptions and experiences of colour, created by 40 young people and their families from WHALE Arts, Wester Hailes Education Centre and Woodlands Special School.
Incredible Distance is a sound installation created by local residents in partnership with WHALE Arts and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra detailing a day in the life of Wester Hailes. Participants created an original audio-visual installation which explores the sonic and visual identity of Wester Hailes.

The Fruitmarket Gallery is located on 45 Market Street, Edinburgh. Right in the middle of the city next to Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station. It is open seven days a week with free admission.
