Community One Stop Shop Hiring

The Broomhouse Community One Stop Shop are looking to recruit a temporary Office/Project Assistant.

The post is maternity cover until until approximately March 2020, working 18 hours per week with a salary of £9 per hour paid monthly.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • General office duties, answering phones, assisting clients
  • Research, social media posting and collation of statistics
  • Report writing
  • Foodbank assistance, emptying stock, making food parcels
  • Attending external promotional events
  • Assisting in Christmas preparations
  • Cover for various members of staff
  • Any other work as directed by Project Manager

Successful candidate must have

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Strong communications skills
  • Flexible Approach
  • Ability to deal with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Non-judgemental approach
  • Able to prioritise work load
  • Be capable of manual handling and moving of stock
  • Driver’s License preferable
  • Experience of office environment and working with different types of people
  • Knowledge of third sector
  • Strong team player
