Help Shape a New Community Asset

The Calders Residents Association is asking local residents to complete a survey to help shape the future of a potential new community asset.

The organisation has been carrying out the Community Asset Transfer process to gain ownership of the Calders Janitors House in the hopes of creating a new community hub. 

The group was recently awarded stage 1 funding from the Scottish Land Fund to allow them to appoint a team of business planner and architects to carry out a feasibility study and prepare a 5 year business plan with view to proceeding with a Community Asset Transfer.

The intention is to create something unique in the Calders, suited to the communities needs and allow a much greater capacity for for groups, learning, kids activities and supporting each other.  

Despite the pandemic work is expected to conclude in the early part of April.  They need to gather as many views and opinions from people who live and work in the Calders as possible to support the process and so have launched two suveys:
