Lothian Buses have released the following statement detailing changes to their service coming into affect from today Monday 15 March 2021.
In anticipation of an expected increase in customers from Monday 15 March with the return of primary pupils and partial return of secondary pupils to schools across Edinburgh and the Lothians, a number of additional journeys will be added to the Lothian network.
Extra journeys will be added to weekday mornings and afternoons (during school term only) on certain services to provide additional capacity for those making essential journeys. The Service 45 will also return on school days between Heriot-Watt University and Lauriston Place via Currie, Colinton and Bruntsfield (with two morning journeys and two afternoon journeys). An additional morning and afternoon journey will operate on the Service 42 between Leith and Holy Rood High School only.
On the East Coast Buses network, school services 125 126 127 will operate to bring students to North Berwick High School, as per this timetable.
You can plan your journey through the dedicated journey planner or through the app which offers journey planning tools and real-time service updates, all integrated with Google Maps.
