The City of Edinburgh Council are recrutiing a Facilities Technician based at Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre.
The post is permanent, working part-time 20 hours (16:15 – 20:15 Monday – Friday) per week with a salary of £19,424 – £21,828 (pro-rata for part-time).
Purpose of Job
Janitorial duties within a busy building which include opening and closing the building, Health & Safety inspections including water quality checks and fire alarm tests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues and carrying out reasonable requests from customers and building users.
To carry out day to day janitorial and DIY operations ranging from small repairs and general maintenance to reactive cleaning, supporting porterage and conducting security functions.
To provide an efficient and effective facilities technician service in accordance with the Service Level Agreement, CEC policy and any prevailing general standards.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
