The Edinburgh Art Festival in partnership with WHALE Arts will be holding a special event at Westside Plaza asking What are you invested in?
The event will run from Thursday 30 September to Sunday 3 October, 1.00pm – 5.00pm daily at tje Westside Plaza Civic Square.
Artists Jeanne van Heeswijk and Bobby Sayers want to talk to you about all-things investment – be it time, care or money, as part of a long-term project in Wester Hailes. Drop by for informal conversations and creative activities – mapping connections, hopes and challenges into a series of wool blankets.
The project is organised in partnership with Edinburgh Art Festival and WHALE Arts. Public Faculty is part of a series of events which have taken place around the world. These events engage in collective learning through a process of knowledge exchange and deep listening within the context of a particular place, working with communities’ to
re-think, redefine and re-enter public space through collective cultural action. Since 2019, Edinburgh Art Festival and WHALE have been working in partnership developing community engagement activities, building relationships with residents, in order to develop an artwork commission with the community for Edinburgh Art Festival 2022. This event aims to shape the development of the commission.
