The Wester Hailes and South West Edinburgh community are invited to join artists Pester and Rossi, Rhubaba Choir and Edinburgh Art Festival in a series of song making sessions.
These will focus on using voices to create a song using responses and stories collected from local people, as well as the Finding Buoyancy audio journey produced by Pester & Rossi to celebrate the Union Canal and people’s sense of place.
The sessions will take place on:
5th & 19th May at WHALE Arts
2nd, 16th, 30th June & 14th, 21st, 28th July at The French Institute
TIMES: 6:30 – 8:30pm
The celebration song will be sung at the Setting Sail launch event at the end of July as part of the 2022 Edinburgh Art Festival. Free soup provided at all singing sessions! No experience required and we also welcome interest from musicians.
