Sighthill Library Reopens

Sighthill Library has now reopened after closing during the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Sighthill library is located in Gate 55, which was shut while the building was used as a COVID-19 Testing centre. The library had remained shut until now due to the Council deeming that there was enough provision with the reopening of Wester Hailes Library. Sighthill library’s opening hours are now:

Mon: 1pm – 8pm
Tues: 10am – 5pm
Wed: 1pm – 8pm
Thurs: closed
Fri: 10am – 5pm
Sat: 10am – 2pm

Without a booking, you can

  • browse and borrow books
  • return your books
  • pick up Hey Girls sanitary products
  • collect hearing aid batteries

You need to book a slot to:

  • use a public computer and print
  • use a study space
  • apply for a National Entitlement Card (bus pass).

Photocopying will also be available with staff assistance. You can use this link to book a time to use a computer, study space or apply for a bus pass.
