Have you met Skittles? WHALE Art’s smaARTies group’s contribution to Edinburgh Zoo’s Giraffe About Town campaign.
Skittles was painted by smARTies -WHALE Arts Friday art group for children aged 6 – 12 and was inspired by WHALE Arts up coming 30th Birthday bash. It is currently on show at Wester Hailes Library. Library staff have said that he has been very popular with lots of adults and families coming in to say hello. Well done to everyone who helped paint him!
Edinburgh Zoo, in collaboration with creative producers Wild in Art, present Giraffe About Town – a large-scale public art event in Edinburgh over the summer.
The event features more than 40 sculptures forming a free trail of discovery for local people and visitors of all ages to explore and enjoy. The giraffes will be displayed until Monday 29 August, giving you two months to get involved.
