The sun was shining at a successful Clovenstone Family Fun Day yesterday, Friday 11 August 2022.
This was the first Clovenstone Community Centre Family Fun Day since the pandemic and it was great to see so many people come out to have some fun in the sunshine. There was lots of great activities on offer with plenty of games, dancing, a tombola, face painting and tattoos and a performance from Fringe Festival performer Magic Gareth. The Centre also ran a Mountain bike raffle throughout the day and well done to winner Jackie Behney.
Several local organisations were in attendance with Prospect holding one of their Pop-up stalls, as well as Changeworks, B Healthy Together, the library and a chance to see and share views on the ongoing consultation being carried out by the Wester Hailes Community Trust as part of the design for a local place plan.
There was even some delicious freshly cooked burgers and hot dogs to keep people going, and a visit from the ice cream van to help people cool down.
