CAP Debt Coach Vacancy

Wester Hailes Holy Trinity Church are recruiting a Debt Coach position at their Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre.

The post is part-time working 15 hours per week with a salary of £9,400.


The CAP Debt Coach will assist the CAP Debt Centre Manager in the efficient running of the CAP Debt Centre and achieving the aims of CAP – seeing people freed from the entrapment of debt and coming to a personal faith in Jesus Christ. You will visit clients in their homes, delivering debt advice, encouraging them to work with CAP, communicating affordable budgets and repayment plans and supporting them through their debt management plan.

You will be compassionate, a good listener, and able to relate to the poor, needy and vulnerable with a desire to solve financial problems, while sharing the Christian faith. It is also important to be a good communicator, and proficient in the use of media and IT. Working alongside the CAP Debt Centre and Job Club Managers, you will communicate the mission and culture of CAP, both in the community and in Holy Trinity Church, continuing to expand our network of external referral agencies, while at the same time helping to build the team of volunteers.
