Superfoodies: Young Peoples Cooking Course

Space at the Broomhouse Hub are excited to announce that there young peoples cooking course Superfoodies is back.

Running for 8 weeks, this course helps young people to learn about different catering roles and gain valuable hospitality skills such as food preparation and barista work. Previous sessions have included pizza making workshops and designing eye-catching cupcakes! 

As part of the Training Academy, the programme is also designed to support young people on the path to positive destinations including paid work opportunities – that’s why the course also covers activities such as CV writing, how to write job applications, and visits from employers in the catering industry.

This is a dedicated programme for high school students in S5 and S6 who are passionate about food and committed to attending each session, and it is free to attend thanks funding from the Capital City Partnership.

The course runs Thursdays 1.00pm to 3.30pm from 4th May to 22nd June 2023.This is a great opportunity to meet people from other schools and learn new skills in a fun and welcoming environment.
