Lothian Buses have announced that from Sunday 8 September a service change will take effect across the Lothian network to improve reliability and add capacity on certain routes including a change in the route of the Service 33.
There will also be a review of bus stops on Princes Street west-bound affecting Lothian Country and East Coast Buses services, to speed up boarding times and ease congestion.
Changes to local services include:
Service 3
Minor timetable changes.
Service 30
Minor timetable changes.
Revised route. Service 32 will operate via Heriot Watt University’s student halls of residence, West Lodge, Curriehill Station instead of Riccarton Mains Road. There will be no change to the timetable.
Revised route and timetable. Service 33 will now terminate at Westburn and operate via Baberton Mains Drive, Clovenstone Road, Hailesland Road, Murrayburn Road, Westside Plaza, Wester Hailes Road and Calder Road with changes to the timetable to improve the service reliability.
Extra journeys will be introduced during the Monday to Friday morning peak hour and in the early evening. Service 30 and N30 will continue to serve the east end of Murrayburn Road.
