Marketing Content Canva Workshop

Do you want to learn how to create promotional content or graphics?

WHALE Arts as part of the Create Community Wealth Legacy Project are running a free workshop on Canva—a powerful graphic design platform that lets you effortlessly create professional-quality visuals in minutes, even with no design experience.

This session will be held on Thursday 19 June 2025, 6.00pm – 8.00pm at WHALE Arts and delivered by Thea Newcomb, an official Canva Expert. It’s one of our drop-in business workshops, held on the Third Thursday of every month.

To get the most out of this session, it’s ideal if you can bring your own laptop and ensure you’re signed up and logged in to a free Canva account beforehand.

For those who don’t have access to their own device, we have a limited number of laptops available for use during the session. It may also be possible to use a temporary Canva account. If you’d like to request this, please get in touch by emailing projects@whalearts.co.uk or calling Whale Arts on 0131 458 3267.

Although the session runs from 6pm to 8pm, if you require a little more support in getting set up, we advise that you come along as early as 5.30pm to allow us to fully assist you.

If you’re interested in the session but feel you might benefit from more foundational digital or IT skills first, Whale Arts offers Digital Support Drop-ins at the following times and locations:

  • Mondays, 1pm – 3pm, at Whale Arts
  • Tuesdays, 1pm – 3pm, at The Health Agency
  • Fridays, 10am – 12pm, at Clovenstone Community Centre

The session itself will cover Canva skills range from the very basic to more intermediate and advanced skills. The sessions will be rounded off with a Q&A with Thea, allowing you to gain the specific advice you need to help you on your journey.
