If you’re picking up a book at Wester Hailes Library you could be picking up your 5 a day at the same time. A weekly Community Food Shop is running at the library on Thursday mornings from 11.30am to 1.30pm. Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and other store cupboard items are available all at a low-cost, healthy price. You can also pick up recipe ideas and packs, ready-made soup packs, and healthy tasters. Cooking demonstrations and advice tips will also help you make the most of your purchases.
