Wester Hailes Community Trust is a new collaborative community organisation that has been established to support genuine community-led development in Wester Hailes.
Wester Hailes Community Trust is led by and accountable to its local membership. Initially it’s will focus will be on two significant steps:
Step 1: The establishment of a locally controlled community fund that will allow local people to take forward ideas and actions to address community priorities – initially those that came out of the Wester Hailes Open Space event.
Step 2: The development and direct delivery by Wester Hailes Community Trust of projects that meet its charitable purposes.
£5000 — £7500 Grants
The Wester Hailes Community Trust would like to announce the launch of a new tier of funding, providing grants of up to £7500 to local community organisations.
As with the £2500 – £5000 tier of funding organisations applying for the £5000 – £7500 tier must demonstrate local partnership working.

The deadline for the first round of applications is Monday 1 May 2017, with the second round deadline being Wednesday 1 November 2017. The WHCT ask that organisations attach a copy of their annual accounts with their application form.

£2500 – £5000 Grants
The Wester Hailes Community Trust offers awards of up to £5000 to local people and organisations.
The Trust is keen to see partnerships emerge between local organisations therefore organisations applying for the £2500 – £5000 tier must demonstrate local partnership working. You can download the application guidelines here. You can download an application for the new tier of funding here.

Grants up to £2,500
The Wester Hailes Community Trust (WHCT)has a fund offering grants of up to £2,500.
The fund is open to applications from local people and organisations who are members of the WHCT. Membership forms can be downloaded here and here, with grants being awarded to allow local people to make the changes to their area that matter most to them.

Small Sparks
WHCT’s Small Sparks fund remains open for applications. This fund provides small grants of up to £250 to local individuals and groups to help make a difference in Wester Hailes.
