A local nursery, Smilechildcare, 17 Calders Grove, has received a generous collection of items, including toys and coats, from Sainsburys.
The toys were officially presented to the nursery on Tuesday 21 January by store manager of Sainsburys Murrayfield, Martin Lowe with Councillors Alex Lunn and Catherine Fullerton attending.
In response to the donation Mr Lowe said:
With anything that engages the community we will absolutely make every effort to help when we are asked.
Councillor Fullerton added:
As local Councillor I am delighted at the gesture from Sainsburys providing the toys that we have here. We are really pleased to hand them over to Smilechildcare, who are a major partner provider in the ward and the South West and assure us that the toys will be put to good use.
Jackie McCulloch manager at Smilechildcare said:
I would like to thank everybody involved in us receiving these gifts and they will go along way throughout all our centres. Thank you very much.
